Full Version: Saluki wanted

Hi

If anyone knows of a saluki in rescue, please can you let me know? I know of someone who is offering a very good home to one. Male or female, any age I believe, to live with a young male Irish wolfhound and a Hancock lurcher. They are very very nice people, with years of sighthound experience.

All I am looking to do is forward any details on to them so they can get in touch with rescues themselves.

If anyone hears of anything, please can you let me know?

Thanks

Catherine x

Oh yes, they are also in touch with Denise at Saluki Welfare, and they are aware of Cromwell at Greyhound Gap.

Cheers

Have a look here - Cromwell is just gorgeous, and he was in a horrible state when found.

He is in a foster home, so you will be able to find a lot of information about him too.

If he is not right, which bless, I cant imagine why, it may be worth trying either Ann or Denise at Saluki Welfare

someone "giving away" a saluki cross.

Be good to get it from going into the wrong kind of hands.

Thanks for that. Have forwarded the link to the interested parties, although I have to say I am sorely tempted myself. He is almost identical to my Jack!

This is my boy at about the same age (he's nearly 9 now) after trashing the sofa.

www.grwe.com Lisa in Cheshire has a feathery saluki girl at the moment she is not on the website yet but I understand needs a special home and restricted excercise but she is GORGEOUS!!

Thanks Kelli. Again, I have let them know.

It was a new sofa! Luckily, they have grown out of their destructiveness. lol.gif

Much as Jack would love Benji as a little brother, I really have to draw the line at 4. You can imagine how difficult this is for me, as I do have a real soft spot for the salukis and saluki crosses. wub.gif
