My vets have just rung me to ask if I knew any rescues who had lurcher puppies at the moment.

There is a lady who is looking for a lurcher puppy and has had lurchers before so I said I would post
and if there are any puppies, then please let me know and I will pass the rescues phone number on to the vet
so they can contact this lady and give the number to her.

So everyone, who's got puppies needing homes now? smile.gif

This isn't awareness, so I'm going to move it to the homes needing a hound section. thumb.gif

I have temporarily removed Curly, Larry and Mo from the Kerry Greyhound listing.
These pups are still available, but have grown a lot and now look nothing like their original picture!
They have also had their names changed.
I will be getting new photos sent from the foster homes tomorrow.
The boys are now 5 months old, and are gentle, placid, laid back dogs.
All would be suitable to live with cats, and will probably run a mile if any resident cat hissed at them!
They are long legged, and are more greyhound than anything else.
Possibly crossed with a Foxhound, and all have beautiful markings.

These pups are now relisted under Kerry Greyhound Connection with more recent photos.
They have been renamed Luka, Oisin and Milo.
Beautiful pups - please form an orderly queue!

I have just had an email from the woman. She says sorry she really wants a very young puppy as she has 4 cats
and wont be convinced that an older pup would/could be just fine. pullhair.gif

So she means 7 8 9 10 week old type of puppy.

I got my greyhound pup (from Kerry's) at 5 1/2 months old and have 4 cats - with any dog, pup or otherwise, there is a settling in period but all get on fine now. I think my cats would have done their nut if a younger pup entered the house because they are into so much more at a very young age.

I've seen the lurcher pups which Kerry's currently have throb.gif - so very tempting as Keva needs a boyfriend and playmate her own size!!

I did my first homecheck today. This woman has had lurchers before, everything was fine on the homecheck. The little boy lurcher is in
Bristol Dog and Cats Home. He has been castrated today (so young yikes.gif but I understand why) and will be going to the lady on Saturday.
I've asked her to email my pics and tell me how he gets on. Turns out I know the lady from years ago when I walked her old lurcher for her
while she was away and had a friend staying. His new Mom only works 3 mornings a week, and everything about her and her house was right.

So one little lurcher less who needs a home. Thank you so much Anyetta of GLWR for alerting me to him in the first place. flowers.gif flowers.gif
